But an almond cookie is always good - I'd take the "brutti ma buoni"!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09446223754527194283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1772151665349754050.post-33931710382102618192015-10-30T03:24:35.527-07:002015-10-30T03:24:35.527-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Manish Batrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11657526504514399576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1772151665349754050.post-83895500718083722492015-10-29T10:20:31.840-07:002015-10-29T10:20:31.840-07:00Sorry you didn't have success this time! For the egg white problem, I'd suggest increasing the speed of the mixer more slowly - start on the lowest until it's all a bit bubbly, then up one notch until it's a bit fluffier etc. Sometimes (depending on how watery the whites are) it helps. Yet another variable to make us tear our hair out!pizzarossahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05250001979702545114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1772151665349754050.post-35974844332630773922015-10-29T00:55:03.434-07:002015-10-29T00:55:03.434-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Manish Batrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11657526504514399576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1772151665349754050.post-84403992471208574982015-10-28T23:29:31.610-07:002015-10-28T23:29:31.610-07:00Oh no--make no mistake, Juli Carvi and Korena! If ...Oh no--make no mistake, Juli Carvi and Korena! If you read my post, you know that I have made macarons before, quite successfully, and that I'm sure I know what my problem was with these this month. I'll try them again--I'm just bummed I couldn't get them down for the challenge this month. =)Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00020986406730749423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1772151665349754050.post-6556655788117398262015-10-28T19:43:33.494-07:002015-10-28T19:43:33.494-07:00Oh no! Maybe the problem is that you're alread...Oh no! Maybe the problem is that you're already found the method that works for you and you should just stick to it? I feel like it really all comes down to finding out what works for your ingredients and oven, etc. I hope you haven't given up on macarons for good!Korenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09242372191709630518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1772151665349754050.post-67877871459456673742015-10-28T18:45:50.308-07:002015-10-28T18:45:50.308-07:00You may never want to try them again, you sound so...You may never want to try them again, you sound so defeated. If you do read up on making meringues first. Essentially that is what you are doing before you add the flour/nut mixture. Good luck! see you at the next challenge.
